Rebecca Romijn was a model before becoming an actress. Her most well-known role is because of her portrayal as Mystique, the main character in the opening segment of X-Men. Romijn was a part of the Marvel filmtitled "The Punisher", in where she was Joan. Since starting her professional life as a model, Romijn has appeared in major companies such as Christian Dior, Sports Illustrated, and Victoria's Secret. It was a long time that she modelled for big fashion houses but then resigned from that area of work to focus on her acting career. Romijn was more successful in her TV career than in Hollywood.
